The focus of the GGGI workshop, which was held in Samarinda in East Kalimantan, was to highlight projects that are being undertaken within a variety of sectors to provide examples of how sustainability or 'green growth' can be incorporated within the economic development plan (MP3EI) for East Kalimantan. REA was invited to give a presentation about the group's ability to produce renewable energy by capturing the methane produced as a result of the anaerobic digestion of palm oil mill effluent (POME) and converting it to electricity. The workshop was attended by a variety of government and industry representatives.
